Microwaves; brand name and more
Microwaves are a cornerstone appliance of the 20th century. You want a hot meal, and you want it fast; you use the microwave. Say you just got off work and want to nuke leftovers from dinner. No problem, just throw it into your microwave, set it to 2-3 minutes, and you'll have warm food to eat after work.
Some people call microwaves nukers, ovens, etc. The term 'nuker' is used by some because a microwave does exactly that - it bombards your food with microwaves that heat it up. Some may say that using the microwave isn't as healthy as the stove or oven. It may or may not be proven - it depends if you believe in the theory that the human body creates it's own bio-electric field.
